Cappadocia

The advantage of backpacking and not planning anything, like me and the man always do, is that there's lots of room for spontaneous actions that turn out to be fantastic.

After 3 days in Istanbul we figured we had the time to see more of Turkey. So we booked a domestic flight to Nevsehir and discover Cappadocia for 4 days. And what a great idea that was. If you ever get the chance: book yourself in a cute cave hotel, like the Cave Life Pension (where we stayed), in Göreme and just be in awe the next couple of days.

 

Isn't it gorgeous? It was súch a pleasure to just hike and enjoy the amazing landscapes of fairy chimneys, Christian churches from the 1st and 2nd century inside the rocks (wíth the original paintings still in there!) and spring blossoms.
